Podiatry is the area of Allied Health dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and management of medical conditions and injuries to the foot, ankle and lower limb. A podiatrist is qualified to help treat a range of conditions in all ages including sporting injuries, structural problems, diabetes and arthritic conditions, ingrown toenails and bunions. Podiatrists also provide advice on appropriate footwear, orthotic fittings, training and exercise programs.
Chiropractic and Podiatry go hand in hand as both professions deal with the biomechanics of the human body. Chiropractic places emphasis on optimal joint function and mobility, and similarly, podiatry also ensures that muscles and joints are aligned and functioning properly in order to treat pain. Orthotics are often used to help correct poor alignment in conjunction with chiropractic treatment, for patients with chronic lower back pain.
We are passionate about treating and preventing injuries and believe in the importance of working with you to achieve your health goals. We believe that posture and structure are key factors to pain prevention, particularly given the demand and strain everyday life can place on the body.
We understand the benefits of preventative health in improving people’s quality of life and find doing so incredibly rewarding.
